As I've examine, the barrels began to obtain the “WP” at close to 1905, and then by 1908 equally the receiver and barrel ended up stamped Together with the “WP”. Have been assembled receivers and barrels proved to be a unit (to get the “WP”), or were being barrels proved using a examination receiver? If examined as an assembled receiver & barrel, I could comprehend stamping both equally at the same time, but at what point may be the proof utilized, subsequent to the ultimate metal polishing but just before the bluing?
